Job description

Street Lighting Operations Manager

Contract Type: Permanent

Ringway Jacobs is seeking an experienced lighting professional to manage street lighting maintenance within our contract. This role involves overseeing all delivery functions, including budget management and strategic investment advice for approximately 150,000 lighting assets.

Our team handles investigation, design, planning, programming, implementation, and monitoring of maintenance work programs. The successful candidate will coordinate resources effectively, working with internal staff, supply chain partners, consultants, and stakeholders to ensure cost-effective solutions. Engagement with Elected Members, District Councils, and other providers is also required.

The Role

• Provide high-quality maintenance services to the highway network, ensuring activities align with County Council and Essex Highways policies.
• Develop annual Street Lighting Service Plans and Task Orders in collaboration with the ECC Commissioning Team.
• Manage and deliver contractual KPIs for street lighting.
• Contribute to the development of Essex's street lighting services, especially following the LED upgrade project.
• Manage costs effectively using the company's cost capture system to maximize value.

About You

• Degree qualification or HNC/HND with operational experience.
• Member of the Institution of Lighting Professionals.
• Proficient in Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint.
• Knowledge of HEA working requirements with current ESC card.
