Job summary

Mott MacDonald is seeking a lighting designer to join our Street Lighting team across Cambridge, Norwich, Bristol, and other locations. You will contribute to high‑quality lighting designs, drawings, and contract documentation for nationally significant transport projects.

The role offers hybrid working, development opportunities, and a supportive environment with a focus on inclusion and wellbeing. Prior experience with Lighting Reality and AutoCAD is desirable.

Qualifications

• Experience in lighting design for transport projects.
• Knowledge of relevant standards and guidance (DMRB, EN13201, BS7671).
• Ability to coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Prepare/high‑quality lighting and electrical designs and drawings.
• Undertake site surveys for design development and night-time assessments.
• Develop client relationships and ensure delivery within collaborative environments.
• Coordinate with engineering teams to integrate design solutions.
