Job summary
Lookers and Charles Hurst are seeking a Workshop Equipment Manager (Projects & Maintenance) to lead group-wide strategy, procurement, installation and lifecycle planning for workshop assets across the national dealer network.
The role drives cost savings, supplier performance, and standardisation while maintaining safety, compliance and high quality standards across all sites. Hybrid role with national travel.
Qualifications
- Significant experience managing workshop equipment and assets within automotive or multi-site operations.
- Proven procurement, supplier management and contract negotiation capability.
- Experience leading capital projects and maintenance programmes.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations and asset lifecycle management.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a Group-wide workshop equipment strategy aligned to objectives.
- Lead procurement, tendering and contract management across the dealer network.
- Drive maintenance programmes to maximise uptime and reliability.
- Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory requirements across assets.
