Job summary

Lookers is seeking a Workshop Equipment Manager for Stoke Head Office. The role is hybrid with national travel and reports to the Group Property Director. You will drive the equipment strategy, procurement, and lifecycle planning across the national dealer network to improve uptime, safety and value.

Strong leadership and supplier management are essential. Responsibilities include managing maintenance contracts, delivering cost savings, and ensuring compliance with health and safety and OEM

Qualifications

• Significant experience managing workshop equipment and related assets within automotive or multi-site operations.
• Proven track record in procurement, supplier management and contract negotiation.
• Experience leading tendering and supplier performance reviews.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a Group-wide workshop equipment strategy across the dealership network.
• Lead procurement, tendering and supplier selection to achieve best value.
• Develop preventative maintenance programmes to maximise uptime and reliability.
• Manage compliance, safety and risk across workshop equipment assets.
• Coordinate capital projects and asset lifecycle planning.
• Deliver cost savings while maintaining quality and regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with Aftersales, Property, Procurement and OEM partners.
