Job summary

Speedy Hire Plc in the United Kingdom is seeking a Workshop Manager to lead a multi‑disciplined engineering team and ensure KPIs are met while keeping equipment ready for customer hire.

You will drive health & safety compliance, onboarding of statutory training, and continuous improvement across our assets, with a focus on cost efficiency and delivering a high quality service from our Leeds workshop.

Qualifications

• Previous supervisory experience ideally in hire/engineering or similar.
• Strong mechanical or electrical engineering background.
• Formal engineering qualifications would be desirable.
• Good level of computer literacy.
• Sound communication skills, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of multi-disciplined engineers to meet KPIs and keep equipment ready for customer hire.
• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety and Environmental regulations and complete statutory training.
• Drive continuous improvement and support the ESG strategy within the unit.
