Job summary

Sunbelt Rentals is seeking an experienced Workshop Manager in Oldham to run the busy workshop and a team of fitters, ensuring targets are met and customers are satisfied. You will drive productivity, manage performance and foster a safe working environment while keeping equipment available to maximise revenue.

The role demands strong communication with the Hire Desk, customers and suppliers, and a customer-focused approach with IT literacy to support service delivery.

Qualifications

• Experience of managing a team in a workshop environment.
• Engineering knowledge in electronics, mechanics or hydraulics.
• Experience in plant maintenance preferred.
• Experience maintaining equipment in a workshop environment.
• Strong planning and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage workshop performance and productivity to meet targets.
• Lead a team of fitters to ensure timely service delivery.
• Maintain effective liaison with Hire Desk, customers and suppliers.
