Job summary

Lime Tree Primary School is seeking an experienced leader to drive SEND and inclusion across the school. You will line manage LSAs, oversee EHCP processes, and analyse data to measure intervention impact, shaping the inclusion strategy.

Collaborating with the SRP Lead and wider staff, you will ensure provision is effective, inclusive and responsive to pupils’ needs, while acting as Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead and supporting Looked-After Children and vulnerable learners.

Qualifications

• Must hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and NASENCO or National Award for SEND Co-ordination.
• Proven experience supporting or leading SEND/Inclusion with knowledge of SEND Code of Practice and safeguarding.

Responsibilities

• Strategic SEND & inclusion leadership: oversee day-to-day SEND provision, line manage LSAs, manage EHCP processes/annual reviews, analyse data and implement inclusion strategy.
• Work with SRP Lead and staff to ensure provision is effective, inclusive and responsive to pupils’ needs.
• Monitor pupil progress and ensure provision aligns with EHCPs and statutory requirements.
• Facilitate effective communication with families, external professionals and the wider school team.
• Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead and Designated Teacher for Looked-After Children, supporting wellbeing.
• Lead strategies to accelerate progress for EAL, Pupil Premium, disadvantaged and vulnerable learners.
• Deliver SEND training and guide staff on inclusive, research-led classroom practices.
