Job summary

Aureos is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join our Stockton on Tees office. The role focuses on delivering commercial results, cost control and accurate reporting on schemes, reporting to the Commercial Manager and supporting contract delivery teams.

The successful candidate will have NEC experience, a relevant degree or HND/HNC, and be working towards a professional qualification; driving license is required.

Qualifications

• Degree educated or HND/HNC equivalent.
• NEC Experience.
• Working towards Professional Qualification.
• Driving license.
• Knowledge of construction industry conditions of contract.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

• Input into the application and credit control processes
• Understanding of income forecast and pricing of variations
• Understanding of the change control system
• Understanding of project risk
• Understanding of the production of CVRs
• Understanding of CTC
• Understanding the production of forecasting data
• Understanding the costing process
• Understanding the management of the full sub-contract cycle and input into sub-contract documentation
• Assisting with weekly cost to complete/budget reviews with the contract delivery teams
• Upload documentation as and when necessary, in line with business requirements
• Review weekly site records including allocation sheets and site diaries
• Attend project progress meetings
• Assisting with the preparation of monthly financial performance reports
• Gain experience outside of the commercial function to better understand the role of the business and the quantity surveyor within the business
