Job summary

National Highways is seeking a Network Occupancy Co-ordinator to join our South East regional team, based in one of Guildford, Basingstoke or Maidstone offices. You will support decision making and co-ordination of all occupancy activities on the regional network, optimise availability and minimise disruption to customers.

Your role includes managing requests and permits, guiding stakeholders, and ensuring information in the occupancy systems is accurate and up to date, while adhering to

Qualifications

• Knowledge of the Traffic Management Act and New Road & Street Works Act is desirable.
• Excellent planning and organisational ability.
• Good decision-making and communication with customers.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate all requests, notices and permits for network occupancy as Works Receiver.
• Provide feedback and guidance on occupancy requests.
• Maintain occupancy data in the Network Occupancy Management System and related systems.
• Coordinate Abnormal Loads routes and ensure policies are followed.
• Manage communications regarding bookings, rejections or variations.
