Job summary

National Highways is seeking a Network Occupancy Co-ordinator for the South East region. The role supports decision-making and coordination on regional network activity, aiming to optimise availability and minimise disruption to customers.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of the Traffic Management Act is desirable.
• Strong planning and organisational ability.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Proficiency with MS Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Manage, analyse and coordinate all requests, notices and permits for network occupancy, including all internal and third party works on the network as the Works Receiver.
• Provide feedback and guidance on requests, notices and permits for network occupancy.
• Maintain and oversee information in the Highways England Network Occupancy Management System and related systems.
• Coordinate Abnormal Loads by agreeing routes for movement of special-order category loads and manage movement files in line with policies.
• Manage communications regarding booking confirmations, rejections or variations.
