Job summary

National Highways in the United Kingdom is seeking a Network Occupancy Controller to support decision making and coordinate regional activities, optimise network availability and minimise customer disruption. The role can be based from the Warrington Office.

You will manage, analyse and coordinate requests, notices and permits, provide guidance, maintain information in the occupancy system, and handle abnormal loads.

Qualifications

• Strong planning and organisational abilities.
• Good decision-making and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service capabilities.
• Proficiency with MS Office applications and related systems.

Responsibilities

• Manage, analyse and coordinate requests, notices and permits for network occupancy as the Network Occupancy Controller.
• Provide feedback and guidance on occupancy requests and notices.
• Maintain and oversee the Network Occupancy Management System and related systems.
• Manage Abnormal Load notifications and ensure policy compliance.
• Coordinate booking confirmations, rejections or variations; knowledgable of Traffic Management Act and New Roads & Street Works Act (desirable).
