Job summary

Elate Staffing Solutions Ltd is seeking an experienced Inventory Manager in Chesterfield to own inventory, warehouse operations and inbound/outbound logistics within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

The role requires leading teams, optimising stock levels and material flow while controlling logistics costs and ensuring products are available to meet customer demand. You will drive continuous improvement using Kanban, PI counts and WMS/ERP systems.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in Inventory/Warehouse Management.
• Strong people-management and leadership skills.
• Commercial mindset with a focus on cost, efficiency and service.
• Experience using WMS or ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day inventory and warehouse operations, including goods-in, storage, picking, packing and dispatch.
• Manage inbound and outbound logistics, including transport planning and vehicle utilisation.
• Maintain accurate inventory and achieve optimum stock levels.
• Optimise warehouse layout, space utilisation and material flow.
• Coordinate with Production, Purchasing and Planning to align stock and delivery requirements.
• Monitor and control inventory, warehouse, labour and transport costs.
• Lead, train and develop warehouse supervisors and operatives.
• Investigate and resolve stock discrepancies, damages and delivery issues.
• Drive continuous improvement through Kanban, PI counts and improved inventory processes.
• Ensure high standards of health & safety and operational compliance.
• Maintain accurate inventory data through WMS/ERP systems.
