Job summary

B&Q Limited in Southampton seeks a HR Systems and Data Manager to lead the People Systems & Data agenda, partnering with People, Technology and BI teams to deliver reliable data, MI and automation. You will shape requirements, ensure governance and drive improvements across data and insights.

You will manage a team, own the data strategy, and collaborate with Group and Store functions to ensure scalable, controlled systems for decision support.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to lead, develop and motivate specialist teams.
• Strong partnership and influencing skills across People, Technology, Data, Insight, Governance and supplier teams.
• Able to translate operational needs into clear requirements, priorities and evidence-based recommendations.
• Clear communicator, able to explain systems, data, MI and control issues in plain English.
• Highly numerate and analytical with a focus on data accuracy and insight.

Responsibilities

• Lead the People Systems & Data team and build capability across systems, data, MI and insight.
• Develop and maintain the People Systems & Data plan aligned to business priorities.
• Shape demand and requirements with stakeholders to join up systems, data flows and MI.
• Own system/data acceptance, ensuring readiness and support arrangements before live use.
• Lead data governance and stewardship with clear ownership and quality standards.
• Improve data quality at source and address recurring data issues in partnership with teams.
