Job summary

Carrington Wood is seeking a People Advisor to provide professional HR guidance across the business, based in Callington, Cornwall. This permanent, full-time role offers a competitive salary and the opportunity to work with managers and senior stakeholders.

You will manage employee relations, assist with policy development, recruitment support and HR reporting, leveraging CIPD Level 5 or equivalent and solid knowledge of employment law. Proactive, collaborative problem solving is essential.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in an HR advisory position.
• Strong employee relations experience and confidence managing a varied caseload.
• Knowledge of current employment legislation and HR best practice.

Responsibilities

• Providing professional HR advice and guidance to managers across the organisation.
• Managing and progressing a varied employee relations caseload.
• Advising on disciplinary, performance, grievance and absence matters.
• Supporting investigations, including gathering evidence and preparing reports.
• Advising on areas including flexible working, organisational change and other employment matters.
• Supporting the implementation and review of HR policies and procedures.
• Contributing to HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Providing HR guidance and training where required.
• Producing HR reports and maintaining accurate employee records.
• Supporting recruitment and selection processes.
