Job summary

Carrington Wood is recruiting an experienced HR Advisor to join its busy HR team in Exeter for a full-time permanent role. This hands-on generalist position focuses on employee relations, absence management, policies, compliance and day-to-day HR advisory support.

You’ll contribute to recruitment, wellbeing and engagement, use HR data and systems to drive delivery, and build strong relationships with managers. A CIPD Level 5 qualification and at least three years’ experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years recent experience working as an HR Advisor or equivalent.
• CIPD Level 5 or equivalent qualification.
• Strong generalist HR experience with emphasis on employee relations.
• Up-to-date knowledge of employment law and best practice.

Responsibilities

• Provide practical and supportive HR advice to managers and colleagues.
• Support employee relations matters and absence management.
• Advise on HR policies, procedures and employment law.
• Support compliance activities and HR processes.
• Assist with recruitment and broader people initiatives.
• Support employee wellbeing and engagement activities.
• Utilise HR systems and data to drive accurate HR delivery.
• Build strong relationships with managers across the organisation.
