The role covers ranging, pricing, strategy development, supplier management, promotional planning and securing income for marketing and media support.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in FMCG Wholesale or Retail (Buying/Sales or Category Management).
• Numerate with experience analysing performance and market data.
• Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to continuously improve.

Responsibilities

• Ensure activities support achievement of budget for sales, margin, and cash profit.
• Maximise category availability across products through sound commercial reasoning.
• Develop Joint Business Plans with suppliers and manage stakeholder relationships.
• Create and implement category strategy and ensure delivery of category plans.
• Ranging and pricing aligned with pricing policy and business strategy.
• Plan and coordinate seasonal promotions and corporate initiatives across supply base.
• Manage Own Brand strategy to balance branded vs. own-brand products.
• Analyse promotional effectiveness and forecasts for product categories.
