Qualifications

• Qualified Accountant with experience in large, complex environments, ideally major projects or infrastructure.
• Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and communicate complex financial information.
• Strong data and systems capability including ERP systems and advanced Excel.

Responsibilities

• Provide financial assurance, challenge, and oversight to senior stakeholders.
• Review and analyze business cases and investment proposals.
• Lead and oversee month-end close activities and deliver high-quality reports.

Skills

Qualified Accountant (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA)

Strong understanding of government/public sector finance

Ability to influence senior stakeholders

Experience in activity-based budgeting and forecasting

Strong data and systems capability

Demonstrated ability to challenge forecasts
