Job summary

Pertemps Black Country Perms is seeking an experienced Service Planner to join their Wolverhampton-based team. The role focuses on coordinating field service engineers, managing schedules and ensuring timely service delivery for customers.

The ideal candidate will have strong organisational skills, excellent communication, and familiarity with SAP or similar planning systems. This is an office-based, on-site role requiring proactive planning and multi-priority management.

Responsibilities

• Planning and scheduling field service engineers' workloads, ensuring resources are allocated effectively.
• Coordinating service visits with customers, arranging appointments and keeping everyone informed of progress.
• Managing work orders from initial booking through to completion, monitoring progress and resolving scheduling issues.
• Responding to changing priorities, adapting schedules and finding practical solutions to minimise disruption.
• Supporting engineers by ensuring they have the necessary job information, documentation and equipment.
• Maintaining accurate records across business systems, including SAP and SPIRIT.
• Working collaboratively with customers, engineers and internal departments to deliver a smooth and efficient service.
• Providing excellent customer service, handling enquiries professionally and keeping customers updated.
