Job summary

TP ICAP in London is seeking an Employee Relations Manager to deliver proactive ER support within HR and business managers. You will lead disciplinary matters, provide guidance on performance, conduct, redundancies, and settlements, and train officers, focusing on compliant, consistent outcomes.

The role requires strong stakeholder management and a collaborative, team-based approach across Compliance and Legal, with a drive to improve ER processes and policies.

Qualifications

• Demonstrable ER case management in front office, financial services.
• Strong understanding of employment law and risk management.
• Hands-on experience with ER matters such as conduct and complaints.
• Experience with business restructuring like headcount reductions and TUPE.
• Team player who can advise across stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Minimise risk of employee issues by managing internal disciplinary processes and formal complaints; draft documentation and liaise with independent hearing officers.
• Provide guidance to HR Advisory on end-to-end ER matters including performance, conduct, redundancies, settlements, and sick absence processes.
• Ensure consistency of ER process and outcomes; review toolkits and guidance.
• Develop and deliver training for independent hearing officers, HR Advisory, managers, and employees.
• Support HR Business Partners and leadership with resolution for complex ER matters.
• Maintain relationships with key internal stakeholders including Compliance and Legal; provide updates to HR leadership.
• Contribute to policy development aligned with legal requirements and strategic objectives.
• Facilitate internal Committee meetings and promote a progressive ER culture.
• Oversee MI collection and trending; inform conduct reviews with data.
