Job summary

TP ICAP, based in London, is seeking an Employee Relations Manager to partner with HR and business leaders, delivering proactive ER advice and pragmatic guidance across the group’s financial services landscape.

You will manage disciplinary matters, grievances, performance and conduct issues, guide restructures and TUPE, develop training for HR teams and managers, and provide trusted support to the HR leadership while fostering a collaborative, compliant culture.

Qualifications

• Demonstrable ER case management experience in a front office, financial services environment.
• Strong understanding of employment law and its practical application to risk management.
• Hands-on experience with ER matters such as conduct, complaints, sickness, performance management and disputes in financial services.
• Experience with business restructuring such as headcount reductions, TUPE, office moves, etc.
• Team player who can advise on employee topics and work with multiple stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Manage internal processes for disciplinary matters and formal complaints; prepare and review case documentation; collaborate with independent hearing officers; draft outcome letters and follow up on recommendations.
• Provide guidance and direction to HR Advisory partners on end-to-end employee relations matters including performance, capability, conduct, redundancies, settlement agreements, exit discussions and sickness absence; review and draft documentation.
• Ensure consistency of ER processes and risk-related documentation and guidance.
• Develop and deliver training for independent hearing officers, HR Advisory, managers and employees.
• Provide problem resolution support to HR Business Partners, HR leadership, and business leaders for complex ER matters.
• Monitor relationship with TP ICAP employees and identify risks to the business and HR leadership.
• Support policy development aligned with best practice, legal requirements, and strategic objectives.
• Arrange and facilitate internal Committee meetings; promote a progressive culture through ER case management.
• Collaborate with Compliance and Legal to align ER activity and responses.
• Review management information related to breaches and trends to inform conduct reviews.
