Job summary

Gleeson Recruitment Group is seeking an Employee Relations Advisor for a Gloucestershire site on a 12-month fixed-term contract. The role focuses on providing pragmatic HR advice, managing ER cases, and coaching managers to ensure fair and compliant handling of disciplinary, grievance, absence and related matters.

Candidates should have 3+ years in generalist HR with strong ER exposure and a solid grasp of UK employment law. CIPD Level 5 or higher or a relevant degree is desirable.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years' generalist HR experience with strong ER exposure.
• Experience managing a broad range of employee relations cases.
• Solid understanding of UK employment legislation and HR best practice.
• Experience coaching and advising managers.
• CIPD Level 5 or above and/or relevant degree is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide pragmatic, commercially focused HR advice across the site, focusing on employee relations and leadership development.
• Manage and support complex ER cases from start to finish with investigations and documentation.
• Coach managers to ensure ER matters are handled consistently, fairly and legally.
• Use ER data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
• Support the HR Business Partner with manager development and HR workshops.
• Advise on employee engagement and communications initiatives.
