Job summary

The Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) is seeking an Operational Management Information Developer within the Working Age Services Directorate in the Digital Transformation Group. You will produce management information, analyse performance and support evidence-based decision making across Universal Credit and Labour Market services.

You will lead analytics projects, work with operations and digital teams, and present findings to senior leaders.

Qualifications

  • Experience producing management information and visualisations with Power BI or similar.
  • Experience using SQL or other programming languages for data interrogation.

Responsibilities

  • Produce insightful management information, analysis and visualisations using Power BI or similar tools to support operational and strategic decision making.
  • Develop robust analytical products using SQL or similar programming languages, ensuring outputs are accurate, reproducible and quality assured.
  • Combine and interrogate data from multiple sources to generate meaningful insights, identify trends and inform business improvements.
  • Lead analytical and performance improvement projects delivering outcomes at pace while managing competing priorities.
  • Identify opportunities to improve service delivery and operational performance across Universal Credit and Labour Market services.
  • Build effective relationships with stakeholders at all levels, including senior leaders, to influence decisions and deliver complex outcomes.
  • Present complex data and technical findings in a clear and engaging way for non-technical audiences.
  • Foster an inclusive and collaborative working environment while contributing to team objectives, efficiencies and continuous improvement.
