Job summary

AWE plc in Reading, Berkshire, is seeking a Commercial Capability Manager to lead the development and embedding of a full capability framework covering competencies, training, development and mentoring.

You will identify skill gaps within Commercial, design targeted training programmes, and work with department heads to tailor development plans. The role reports to the Senior Capability Manager and supports hybrid working.

Qualifications

• Proven professional experience in procurement/commercial functions.
• Experience in HR or people-related functions with skills development.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Define the Commercial competency framework and career pathways.
• Manage Commercial training plans and training providers.
• Collaborate with HR and talent teams to align development processes.
• Oversee the Commercial skills and development programme and budget.
• Analyse capability demand and market trends to shape requirements.
• Implement a Commercial mentoring programme to develop internal talent.
