Job summary

AWE plc in Reading is seeking a Commercial Capability Manager to lead the development and embedding of a full capability framework covering competencies, training and mentoring. You will identify skill gaps and design targeted training plans with department heads.

You will define career pathways, oversee training providers and the budget, and build strong relationships with external bodies. This role is hybrid with on-site days in Reading.

Qualifications

• Must have proven professional experience.
• Experience in Procurement/Commercial functions.
• Experience in HR/people development with skills & development focus.
• Strong stakeholder management with influence capabilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Define and embed a full capability framework covering competencies, training, development and mentoring.
• Identify and evaluate skill gaps within Commercial and implement training programmes.
• Collaborate with department heads to tailor development plans.
• Report to the Senior Capability Manager.
• Define Commercial competency framework and career pathways.
• Manage Commercial training plans and providers to ensure leverage of training.
• Align with wider HR and talent processes, tools and procedures.
• Oversee the Commercial skills development programme and budget.
• Understand capability development demand and market trends to shape requirements.
• Analyze skills gaps and implement bridging plans.
• Roll out a Commercial mentoring programme.
