Job summary

AWE plc seeks a Commercial Capability Manager in Reading to develop and embed a comprehensive capability framework spanning competencies, training, development and mentoring. You will assess skill gaps in Commercial, design tailored development plans and partner with department heads to ensure delivery of targeted growth initiatives.

The role reports to the Senior Capability Manager and offers hybrid working with on-site days.

Qualifications

Proven professional experience in Procurement/Commercial functions.
Experience in HR or other people-related functions with focus on skills development.
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
Comfortable with ambiguity and changing priorities.
Able to work with senior stakeholders across departments.

Responsibilities

Develop and embed a full capability framework covering competencies, training, development and mentoring.
Identify skill gaps within Commercial and implement training programmes.
Collaborate with department heads to tailor development plans for each role.
Define the Commercial competency framework and career pathways.
Manage Commercial training plans and external training providers.
Ensure alignment with wider AWE HR processes, tools and procedures.
Oversee the Commercial skills and development programme and budget.
Maintain records of capability development demand and market trends.
Roll out a Commercial mentoring programme to develop internal talent.
