Job summary

Bestway Wholesale Limited is seeking a Category Manager to lead the delivery of Category Plans that maximise sales and profit for Bestway Retail and our Retailers. The role covers ranging, pricing, strategy development, supplier management, promotional planning and supporting marketing activities.

You will mentor Category Assistants, manage internal and external stakeholders, and drive the category forward with a data-driven approach to improve performance and profitability across the portfolio.

Qualifications

• Experience in FMCG Wholesale or Retail is required.
• Strong negotiation and influencing skills are essential.
• Ability to analyse performance and market data to inform category strategy.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Category Plans to maximise sales and profit for Bestway Retail and Retailers.
• Ranging, pricing, strategy development and supplier management.
• Plan and execute promotional activity and secure income for marketing support.
• Mentor and develop Category Assistants and oversee Category activities.
• Create and implement Category strategy to meet financial targets.
• Negotiate income from suppliers for media promotions and initiatives.
• Range management and price proposition for categories.
• Define Own Brand strategy to balance branded and own-brand products.
