Bestway Wholesale Limited in the United Kingdom seeks a Category Manager to deliver category plans that maximise sales and profit for Bestway Retail and our retailers. You will oversee ranging, pricing strategy, supplier management and promotional planning across a diverse supplier base.

You will mentor Category Assistants, coordinate internal departments, and translate market data into actionable plans, ensuring financial targets are met while maintaining a balanced mix of branded and own-brand

Qualifikationen

• Significant experience in FMCG Wholesale or Retail sector (Buying, Sales or Category Management).
• Tenacity, determination and assertiveness to achieve commercially successful outcomes.
• Ability to build internal and external relationships using effective influencing skills.
• Strong negotiating skills with suppliers and cross-functional teams.
• Numerate with experience analysing performance and market data.

Aufgaben

• Ensure activities support the budget delivery for sales, wholesale margin, retail POR and cash profit.
• Ranging and pricing of products in line with current pricing policy and strategy.
• Plan and communicate requirements for seasonal promotional events and corporate initiatives.
• Define and manage Own Brand strategy to balance branded vs own-brand products.
• Mentor Category Assistants and oversee category-specific activities.
• Accurately analyze promotional effectiveness and forecasts for product categories.
