Job summary

M&G in London or Stirling is seeking a senior Category Manager for BPO. You will own category strategy, lead negotiations, and advise senior stakeholders with deep market insight.

This role sits in a transformed procurement function, partnering with an India team, shaping supplier relationships and delivering material savings while maintaining governance and risk controls. Flexible working and supportive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Substantial category management or strategic sourcing experience.
• Category knowledge across BPO category.
• Led negotiations on high-value contracts with major vendors.
• Credible with senior stakeholders; ability to influence without formal authority.
• Strong commercial and financial judgement, including TCO and should-cost analyses.
• Proficient in using spend data and management information to identify trends.
• Comfortable working from London or Stirling office.

Responsibilities

• Build and own the BPO category strategy and savings plan.
• Lead high-value sourcing events and negotiations with major vendors.
• Design sourcing events and evaluation criteria based on value, risk and complexity.
• Manage senior supplier relationships under commercial pressure.
• Collaborate with the India procurement team to ensure delivery.
• Apply procurement governance, risk management and contract terms.
• Report savings and cost avoidance; maintain a forward pipeline.
