Job summary

M&G Procurement is seeking a Category Manager to own and lead the BPO category as a strategic commercial adviser to senior stakeholders. You will develop and own the category strategy, drive negotiations, and influence how the business specifies and buys services, delivering measurable cost reduction across the category.

• Essential substantial category management or strategic sourcing experience.
• Demonstrable experience planning and leading negotiations on high-value contracts with major vendors.

Responsibilities

• Lead the category strategy for Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) and develop living plans with market insights.
• Drive savings and cost reduction, including baselines and should-cost analyses, reporting progress to Finance.
• Act as a trusted adviser to senior stakeholders and influence sourcing decisions without formal authority.
• Shape commercial terms, pricing mechanisms and risk controls in collaborations with Legal and governance bodies.
• Use spend data and dashboards to identify trends, opportunities and present clear commercial cases.
