M&G in London or Stirling is seeking a Category Specialist to provide UK procurement and analytical support, building the evidence base for category strategy, savings and negotiation. You will work with Category Managers and the India team to deliver value and credible service.

You will run sourcing events, model spend and total cost of ownership, and support negotiations with stakeholders across UK functions. Experience in a regulated environment and CIPS studies are desirable.

Formación

• Experience in procurement, sourcing or category support.
• Working knowledge of the assigned category or a closely comparable spend area.
• Strong analytical skills including spend analysis and TCO modelling with advanced Excel.
• Experience running sourcing events and evaluating supplier responses.
• Willingness to work from London or Stirling offices for the majority of the week.

Responsabilidades

• Find savings opportunities through spend analysis and baselines, track realised benefits.
• Analyse spend, compare rate cards and model bids, prices and total cost of ownership.
• Prepare negotiation packs and support the Category Manager in negotiations.
• Run sourcing events with UK stakeholder involvement and manage timelines.
• Coordinate with the India Procurement team on execution activities and outputs.
• Track renewal dates and contract obligations to ensure competitive tension.
