Job summary

M&G Procurement is seeking a Category Manager for the IT Outsourcing category to own strategy, drive cost reductions, and advise senior stakeholders. The role demands deep category knowledge, strategic sourcing, and strong negotiation skills.

Based in London or Stirling, with a mix of on-site work and collaboration with global teams. You will lead supplier negotiations, develop living category plans, and deliver credible commercial recommendations to governance forums.

Qualifications

• Substantial category management or strategic sourcing experience.
• Experience delivering measurable savings in a complex organisation.
• Credibility with senior stakeholders and ability to influence without formal authority.
• Knowledge of spend data and management information to identify trends and opportunities.
• Desirable: experience with eSourcing platforms and Power BI.

Responsibilities

• Build, own and execute the IT Outsourcing category strategy.
• Lead high-value sourcing events and negotiations with incumbents.
• Maintain category plans covering market analysis and savings opportunities.
• Influence governance forums with commercial recommendations.
• Coach and develop category specialists and ensure offshore capacity alignment.
• Shape commercial terms and apply regulatory and governance standards.
