Solutions Engineering Recruitment in Birmingham is seeking a high-performing Business Development Manager to drive new business across the UK, open new accounts and develop long-term commercial relationships.

The role offers a salary of £40,000 - £50,000 DOE plus £5,000 - £15,000 OTE, with hybrid working, a car option or allowance, life insurance, a 5% pension contribution, a company credit card, and a laptop & phone.

Qualifications

• Proven track record in Business Development, Area Sales or Technical Sales.
• A genuine hunter mentality with a passion for winning new business.
• Packaging industry experience would be highly desirable, or experience within a similar B2B industry.
• Candidates who understand the Food, Industrial, chemical, furniture and other related markets are highly desirable.
• Strong commercial awareness with excellent relationship-building skills.
• Self-motivated, driven and comfortable managing your own territory.

Responsibilities

• Drive new business across the UK also dependent on location.
• Achieve a new business target of around £250,000.
• Target local businesses with a typical spend of around £25,000 - £40,000.
• Work closely with an experienced marketing team while building your own pipeline through proactive business development.
• Build long-term customer relationships and identify opportunities for sustainable growth.
• Develop new accounts and become a key point of contact for customers.
• Play a key role in an exciting period of expansion, with significant opportunities to make your mark within the business.
