Job description
Overview

Our Stores team in Dalgety Bay is looking to recruit a Storesperson to assist with the organisation and storage of materials, picking materials and booking out stock as required. The role will also require you to ensure that all necessary paperwork/computer input is completed in a timely fashion and to a high standard. It will be your responsibility to maintain the stores areas so it is kept in a safe, clear, tidy fashion adhering to all Health, Safety & Environmental practices and procedures.

Please note this position will require flexibility on working location, between both Dalgety Bay and Cumbernauld.

Responsibilities
  • Booking out stock to operatives.
  • Managing RSE stock control system for standard and commonly used parts and components.
  • Co-ordinate and carry out physical movement of stock within the stores/warehouse.
  • Compiling project specific materials from purchase orders to be issued to workshop.
  • Annual and Mini stock takes.
  • Unloading and loading of delivery vehicles.
  • Forklift operations around the facility.
  • Organisation and processing of workshop steel requirements.
  • Housekeeping of facility including operation of floor sweeper.
  • Carry out all other tasks as requested within the post holder’s appropriate skill set.
What Do You Need?
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work with a team or independently.
  • Able to adapt to changing business requirements and challenges quickly and positively whilst efficiently prioritising workload/tasks.
  • Proficient with the use of Microsoft software.
  • Ability to identify and solve problems, manage multiple priorities and multi-task.
  • Awareness of quality, environmental and health & safety rules and principles.
  • Manual Handling.
  • CSCS & FLT Counterbalance is desirable.
  • Full UK Driving Licence
