Job summary

One Stop Stores Ltd is seeking a proactive Shift Leader to join our UK stores. You will supervise daily operations, ensuring excellent customer service while managing staff, safety, and store presentation.

You will lead shifts, coordinate breaks, handle quick decisions, and help deliver community-focused events. This role supports the Store Manager and fosters an inclusive, high-performing team environment.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the team to deliver the easiest shopping trip in the community.
• Open/close the store and provide duty cover, prioritising customer safety.
• Act as go-to person for colleagues in the Store Manager's absence.
• Support Store Manager with seasonal, community, and charity events.
• Ensure the store is clean, tidy, and well presented.
• Prioritise replenishment of key products for customers.
• Ensure POS and shelf labels reflect correct visuals.
• Address overcharges immediately and prevent recurrence.
• Manage store queues to enhance customer experience.
• Coordinate colleagues to meet daily priorities and manage breaks.
• Know the store well and drive practical improvements with the team.
• Follow health and safety routines and ensure compliance by colleagues.
• Deliver timely communication to the team.
