Job summary

Tesco UK in Inverness is hiring a Shift Lead to champion customer service and store performance. You’ll lead the team across departments, handle day-to-day queries, and build a positive, inclusive environment where colleagues can thrive.

Pay starts at £15.59 per hour, rising to £16.86 in stores within the M25; some locations may offer additional payments. We guarantee a minimum of 16 hours per week, with 3 weeks’ notice for shifts, and you must be 18 or over to apply.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a team lead or management position in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Be a strong role model with a passion for delivering great service and ensuring every customer’s needs are met.
• A clear communicator, using a variety of methods to keep the team well informed.
• A natural leader who motivates and inspires the team to deliver outstanding results.

Responsibilities

• Leading the team to deliver a great experience for customers in-store.
• Working across all areas of the store and with all colleagues, being the go-to person for day-to-day operational queries.
• Building positive, inclusive relationships that help colleagues perform at their best.
• Confidently leading the store in the Manager’s absence.
• Making balanced, flexible decisions and adapting well to change.
• Coaching colleagues, giving feedback and role modelling great service.
