Job summary

Tesco PLC in the United Kingdom is seeking a Shift Lead to oversee in-store operations and guest experience. You will lead teams across store areas, act as the go-to for daily queries, and model inclusive service that puts customers first.

The role supports diverse shifts with a minimum guaranteed 16 hours weekly, and pay starts at £15.59 per hour, rising to £16.86 in M25 stores. Flexible work options are available from day one.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a team lead or management position in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Be a strong role model with a passion for delivering great service and ensuring every customer's needs are met.
• A clear communicator, using a variety of methods to keep the team well informed.

Responsibilities

• Leading the team to deliver a great experience for customers in-store.
• Working across all areas of the store and with all colleagues, being the go-to person for day-to-day operational queries.
• Building positive, inclusive relationships that help colleagues perform at their best.
• Confidently leading the store in the Manager's absence.
• Making balanced, flexible decisions and adapting well to change.
• Coaching colleagues, giving feedback and role modelling great service.
• Staying curious and seeking opportunities to serve our customers, communities, and planet a little better every day.
