Job summary

Tesco is seeking a Shift Lead to guide store teams, manage daily operations, and ensure superb customer experiences. You will lead, motivate, and support colleagues across departments while upholding our standards and values, with shifts scheduled amid a fixed availability window.

The role demands leadership, a customer-first mindset, and flexibility to adapt to changing store needs. Age 18+ is required; minimum 16 hours per week guaranteed.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a team lead or management position in a fast-paced retail environment.
• A clear communicator, using a variety of methods to keep the team well informed.
• Be a strong role model with a passion for delivering great service and ensuring every customers needs are met.

Responsibilities

• Leading the team to deliver a great experience for customers in-store.
• Working across all areas of the store and with all colleagues, being the go-to person for day-to-day operational queries.
• Building positive, inclusive relationships that help colleagues perform at their best.
• Confidently leading the store in the Managers absence.
• Making balanced, flexible decisions and adapting well to change.
• Coaching colleagues, giving feedback and role modelling great service.
• Staying curious and seeking opportunities to serve our customers, communities, and planet a little better every day.
