Job summary

Tesco Shift Lead in the United Kingdom is a store-based leadership role designed to put customers at the centre of everything we do. You will lead the team, work across all store areas and with colleagues to deliver a great in-store experience.

Your hours are scheduled within set availability, with a minimum of 16 hours per week (some roles from 12 hours). You’ll coach colleagues, model outstanding service, and confidently lead the store in the Manager’s absence while adapting to change.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a team lead or management position in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Be a strong role model with a passion for delivering great service and ensuring every customer’s needs are met.
• Build positive, long lasting relationships to create an inclusive, supportive team environment.
• A clear communicator, using a variety of methods to keep the team well informed.
• A natural leader who motivates and inspires the team to deliver outstanding results.

Responsibilities

• Leading the team to deliver a great experience for customers in-store.
• Working across all areas of the store and with all colleagues, being the go-to person for day-to-day operational queries.
