Job summary

Tesco UK is hiring a Shift Lead to oversee store operations and deliver great service to customers. You will lead teams across areas of the store, handle day-to-day queries, and role-model inclusive, proactive leadership.

Your hours are scheduled within the availability windows shown, with a minimum 16 hours per week and roles from 12 hours also available. Shift pay starts at £15.59 per hour, rising to £16.86 in M25 stores.

Qualifications

• 18 or over to apply for this role.
• Experience in a team lead or management position in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Strong role model with a passion for delivering great service and meeting customer needs.
• Clear communicator able to keep the team well informed and motivated.

Responsibilities

• Leading the team to deliver a great experience for customers in-store.
• Working across all areas of the store and with all colleagues, being the go-to person for day-to-day operational queries.
• Building positive, inclusive relationships that help colleagues perform at their best.
• Confidently leading the store in the Manager's absence.
• Making balanced, flexible decisions and adapting well to change.
• Coaching colleagues, giving feedback and role modelling great service.
• Staying curious and seeking opportunities to serve our customers, communities, and planet a little better every day.
