Job summary

Tesco is hiring a Shift Lead to help run busy stores with a focus on excellent customer service, teamwork, and daily operational excellence. You’ll be the go-to person for day-to-day queries, coach colleagues, and help maintain a welcoming, inclusive environment.

Shifts are scheduled within the published availability windows; minimum 16 hours per week, with some locations offering more. Pay starts at £15.59 per hour, rising to £16.86 in M25 stores, and you must be 18 or over.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a team in fast-paced retail.
• Excellent communication and customer-service skills.
• Ability to coach team members and manage shifts.

Responsibilities

• Lead the store team to deliver a great experience for customers in-store.
• Work across all areas of the store and with colleagues as the go-to person for day-to-day operational queries.
• Build positive, inclusive relationships to help colleagues perform at their best.
• Confidently lead the store in the Managers absence.
• Coaching colleagues, giving feedback and role modelling great service.
• Staying curious and seeking opportunities to serve our customers, communities, and planet a little better every day.
