Store Operations Manager

Full Time | Permanent

Location: Swindon

As a Store Operations Manager within our Johnstone's Decorating Centre, you will lead from the front. Your responsibilities include driving and growing sales while ensuring all operating standards meet the expected level of excellence.

You will provide outstanding customer service and support within your store, always demonstrating a positive, customer-focused attitude.

Key Responsibilities

• Achieving sales and profit targets to ensure company profitability
• Managing daily operations of sales assistants, including organizing rotas and managing absences
• Training and coaching colleagues, both new and existing
• Controlling resources in line with budgeted costs in collaboration with Operational Managers
• Maintaining high security standards and full compliance with company policies regarding stock, financial transactions, security, and premises
• Managing decorating centre accounts according to company guidelines
• Ensuring health and safety standards are maintained at all times
• Participating in recruitment and selection procedures with the District Operations Manager

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a customer-facing environment with direct sales
• Strong leadership, mentoring, and motivational skills with supervisory experience
• Ability to remain calm and composed in difficult situations
• Flexibility regarding working hours and duties, including providing cover for other decorating centres in the zone
