Job Overview

Our client, a national affordable housing organization, is seeking a Senior Operations Property Manager to join their expanding property services team. The role involves managing and leading a team of surveying staff to oversee their affordable housing portfolio.

The successful candidate will deliver regional repairs, voids, planned investments, and major works programs, ensuring targets and standards for revenue, cost, quality, and time are met in line with the organization’s strategies.

This role also involves overseeing contractor performance, managing complex contractor relations to enhance deliverables and value for money. It is primarily a home-based position with occasional meetings for contractor performance reviews and office management. You will manage a diverse surveying team across a wide geographical area and oversee allocated budgets.

Key Responsibilities

• Developing and maintaining strategic relationships with key partners to deliver customer-focused programs of planned investment, major repairs, responsive, and void repairs.
• Leading the appointment and management of sustainable partnerships, ensuring contractors are resilient and profitable while delivering quality services.
• Developing and implementing processes and procedures based on data evaluation.
• Collaborating with senior department members at regional and national levels.
• Managing the surveying team and overseeing project delivery.

Candidate Requirements

• Educated to HND level or equivalent, with a professional qualification in construction, housing, or property.
• Experience delivering programs of planned investment, major works, and responsive repairs at a senior level.
• Proven leadership of multi-disciplinary teams across wide geographical areas.
• Experience managing large service budgets.
• Knowledge of building law, regulations, contracts, and health and safety legislation.
• Experience reporting to executive management and board levels.
• Strong collaboration skills within development management teams.
• High IT proficiency, especially in Excel and PowerPoint.
• A full clean UK driving license is required as travel to various sites is expected.
