Job summary

One Stop, a Tesco subsidiary, is seeking a Shift Leader to guide daily store operations in a fast-paced retail environment. You will manage shifts, coordinate a team, and ensure a safe, welcoming store that delivers excellent service and a great shopping experience.

You will take ownership of duties, coach colleagues, and implement practical actions to improve performance while keeping customers at the heart of everything you do.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the team to deliver an easy shopping trip for customers.
• Open/close the store and cover duties while prioritising safety and service.
• Be the go-to person when the Store Manager is absent for daily queries.
• Support the Store Manager with seasonal events and store campaigns.
• Ensure the store is clean, well presented and well stocked.
• Monitor queues and manage customer flow to maintain service quality.
• Schedule breaks and allocate tasks to align with trade patterns.
• Deliver updates to management and coach colleagues for service improvements.
• Act as a Keyholder for alarm responses and store security.
