Job summary

Sainsbury's is seeking a Customer & Trading Manager to lead store operations and develop a high-performing team. You will be responsible for day-to-day running, ensuring excellent customer service and safe, efficient service for shoppers.

You’ll coach colleagues, drive KPIs, manage performance and scheduling, and potentially support other nearby stores as business needs require. A hands-on leader with strong retail experience is ideal.

Qualifications

• Experience leading teams in fast-paced, customer-facing environments.
• Proven ability to coach colleagues to deliver excellent service.
• Successful track record meeting or exceeding KPIs and targets.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day store operations, often as the sole manager.
• Lead a team to ensure customers are served efficiently and safely.
• Manage performance, scheduling and payroll in collaboration with the team.
• Be ready to support other stores as needed within the network.
