Sainsbury's Supermarkets Ltd. is seeking a Customer and Trading Manager – Convenience in a local Ashford store. You will lead daily operations, manage a small team, and ensure excellent service and compliance with safety standards.

The role emphasizes hands-on leadership, KPI delivery, and collaboration across store colleagues to maximise availability and sales while maintaining a high standard of customer care.

Qualifications

• Previous store management experience in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Strong customer service focus with ability to coach a team.
• Proven ability to meet KPI targets including sales and availability.
• Experience in employee relations including disciplinaries and performance issues.
• Ability to work alone in the absence of senior management.
• Excellent leadership and people-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with a small team of managers to ensure the store runs smoothly every day.
• Take day-to-day responsibility for store operations and be the lead manager in the shop when required.
• Lead a team to deliver fast, safe, and efficient customer service; ensure tasks are completed.
• Manage performance, capability, disciplinaries, scheduling and payroll accuracy.
• Support nearby stores when required to maintain store network coverage.
