Job summary

STERIS is hiring a Sterile Services Driver in Leicester, UK. You will ensure safe carriage of goods, perform daily vehicle inspections, and meet delivery schedules in line with the Transport Act 1968.

The role requires a full UK driving licence and at least two years' driving experience, plus good general education and numerical abilities. You will receive world-class training and join a diverse, team‑oriented culture.

Qualifications

• Max 3 points on a licence.
• 2 years driving experience.
• Educated on good general standard with demonstrable verbal and numerical abilities.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring vehicles are driven in line with all current applicable legislation, company policies and procedures.
• Daily health and safety vehicle inspections.
• Report all traffic accidents involving any company vehicle to the company insurer immediately in accordance with their requirements in addition to notifying line manager.
• Responsibility for the safe carriage of goods to comply with the basic rules of the Transport Act 1968.
• Maintain and organise planned preventative maintenance i.e. servicing of all company vehicles and organise alternative vehicle cover when necessary.
• Maintain effective vehicle mileage logs and submit the mileage records to the administration staff on a weekly basis.
• Shall ensure all delivery schedules are met in accordance with the daily requirements of the service.
