Job summary

STERIS Instrument Processing in London is recruiting a Supervisor to oversee the on-site decontamination, instrument assembly and sterilisation teams. You will ensure safe, efficient practices and timely delivery of clean and sterile instruments.

Responsibilities

• Supervise decontamination, instrument assembly and sterilisation per quality standards.
• Provide direct supervision to ensure timely delivery of clean/sterile instruments.
• Ensure compliance with Health and Safety procedures and guidelines.
• Monitor and record department quality assurance in the QMS.
• Promote health and safety by training staff on procedures.
• Participate as an integral member of the management team, driving innovation and improvement.
• Assist Production Manager in planning and operational processes.

We are currently recruiting for a Supervisor vacancy. This is an excellent opportunity to join the business at the supervisory level and oversee the productivity and welfare of the staff on site.

About You

Working Pattern

• 12 Weeks’ Training, initially Mon – Fri, 9am – 5pm, thereafter your regular shift are;
• Double day rotational between 7am – 10pm (with weekend working circa 50%)

What is involved?

• Responsibility for the safe and efficient practices for decontamination, instrument assembly and sterilisation of instruments, consumables and equipment within predefined quality standards.
• Providing direct and effective supervision to ensure timely delivery of clean and/or sterile instrumentation.
• That operational activities fully comply with all required Health and Safety procedures and guidelines.
• Monitor, Maintain and record all department quality assurance records in accordance with the QMS.
• To proactively monitor, evaluate and ensure that operational activities fully comply with required Health and Safety procedures and guidelines and staff are kept informed and trained on health and safety procedures in the workplace.
• To participate as an integral member of the management team and actively contribute to suggestions of innovation, continuous improvement, and best practices.
• To actively assist and support the Production Manager in the planning and operational process.
