Job summary

STERIS Instrument Processing in Wolverhampton is hiring a Sterile Services Driver at entry level, with world-class training. You must hold a full UK driving license and be ready to contribute to infection prevention in a healthcare setting.

Role offers 37.5 hours per week with rotating shifts (5am–8pm). You’ll follow safety standards, perform vehicle inspections, and ensure timely deliveries while upholding quality service.

• Meet delivery schedules as required by service demands.

Working Pattern

• 37.5 Hours per week
• Rotating shifts between the hours of: 5am - 8pm

What is involved?

• Ensuring vehicles are driven in line with all current applicable legislation, company policies and procedures.
• Daily Health and Safety vehicle inspections.
• Report all traffic accidents involving any company vehicle to the company insurer immediately in accordance with their requirements in addition to notifying line manager.
• Responsibility for the safe carriage of goods to comply with the basic rules of the Transport Act 1968.
• Maintain and organise planned preventative maintenance i.e. servicing of all company vehicles and organise alternative vehicle cover when necessary.
• Maintain effective vehicle mileage logs and submit the mileage records to the Administration Staff on a weekly basis.
• Shall ensure all delivery schedules are met in accordance with the daily requirements of the service.

Required Experience

• Max 3 points on a licence
• 2 years driving experience
