Job description
Overview

We have an exciting opportunity for a paediatric nurse to work within our nursing team on the Rainforest Ward in Grimsby. The ward cares for infants, children and young people aged 0-16 years with acute medical and surgical problems, chronic and complex health conditions, life-limiting conditions and elective surgery. We support day-case procedures and work closely with the Children's Specialist Nurses, Children Community Nurses and nursing staff in the Children's Outpatient Department.

Responsibilities
  • Provide nursing care to paediatric patients aged 0-16 years on Rainforest Ward, including those with acute medical and surgical problems, chronic and complex conditions, and life-limiting conditions.
  • Support and care for children undergoing elective surgery and day-case procedures.
  • Work with multi-professional teams to ensure children receive the best care, promoting their physical and mental health and wellbeing.
  • Be enthusiastic, motivated and flexible to support the ward team of paediatric nurses and doctors.
Shift patterns

You will be expected to work Day and Night shifts 24/7. Shift patterns are 07:00-19:30 and 19:00-07:30.
