Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, self-motivated and forward-thinking Staff Nurse to join our expanding Discharge Lounge team at Frimley Park Hospital.

The Discharge Lounge plays a vital role in supporting patient flow and hospital capacity, ensuring patients are safely and efficiently transferred once they are ready to leave the ward. As a Staff Nurse, you will work both independently and collaboratively with the wider multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality, safe, and compassionate care throughout the discharge process.

Responsibilities
  • Promote the use of the Discharge Lounge by identifying suitable patients and supporting ward staff to utilise the service.
  • Ensure that every patient’s needs are met during their transition, with excellent communication, clinical judgment, and organisational skills.
  • Contribute to problem-solving in a fast-paced environment and work both independently and as part of the multidisciplinary team.
  • Deliver high quality patient care to patients and relatives; communicate effectively with patients and their relatives; assess, monitor and implement care; develop techniques and skills.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of health and safety regulations and participate in departmental meetings.
  • Work well as part of a team and also use own initiative, building new working relationships.
Qualifications / Experience
